Consulting Process
Initial Analysis: An in-depth discussion with the owner and key staff is focused in the first 90-minute session. Main bottlenecks are identified, and solutions are outlined. Owners rarely come away from this session without at least one useful "aha" to apply to their business. This session is used to explore effective solutions and generate recommendations. No fee is charged for this analysis.
Project Plan: A prioritized attack plan is created in one to two four-hour sessions to get the right people doing the right things at the right time so that the business runs smoothly. Some clients call this the "Down and Dirty Saved Me from Myself Plan."
Action: Get collections in shape? Improve employee performance? Close sales? Address customer complaints? Focus time management? Where to start depends on company needs and priorities; coach, owner and staff divide action items between them. It may be on-the-job-training in CEO leadership or executive team effectiveness; at other times it is more effective for the coach to get a critical system in place with minimal owner work.
Adjustments: In this fast-paced world, priorities need to be adjusted constantly. Implementation needs fine-tuning. Regular progress discussions keep the project on-track and real-world.
One size does not fit all! A full program gets the best results; it is also time and budget intensive for everyone. Some companies will choose to move more slowly and make changes in just one area, then consider whether to move on to the next.
